Hi, I’m Elizabeth – the thoughtful touch behind Betty Notes.

In December of 2022, I was asked to assist my grandmother, Betty, with writing her holiday cards because it was getting increasingly harder for her to do so. I was able to spend time at her retirement residence while writing down her greetings for friends and family across Canada. In the weeks following that visit, I couldn’t help but wonder how many people were unable to send holiday cards for any number of reasons — whether due to incapability, time, or even the fact that handwriting is a seemingly dying art.

And so, Betty Notes was born. As a business, our aim is to help others save time and energy while still maintaining the thoughtful touch that a handwritten card provides. In a time when digital has become the default option, I remember the feeling that comes from receiving a note from my grandmothers. That’s a feeling I believe everyone should experience from someone they care about.
